trio ellas @ eastsidelucwinebar y queso

last Sunday 11/1/09 my favorite trio - trio ellas was at this EastLA haunt singing classic trio tunes. as per custom they have a sing sign up so i did. my name was called, they gave me the mike and i sang Cancion Mixteca. was not bad either if i must say so myself as no one else will. had a great time, the crowd roared their approval, ok maybe it wasn't a roar, it could of been just a courtesy clap but hey, i'll take what i can get.

this week the focus is on eastsideluv once again where blue agave will perform, led by vocalist stephanie amaro of the fresas and trio ellas, and fronted by virtuoso guitarist andy abad, and friends,the show tonight figures to be very special, even if it means missing very be careful at the free santa monica pier series. speaking of free, all summer its been a free music extravaganza, starting with grand performances, downtown LA which has posted groups as diverse as mentiritas - go will dog, mr. vallenato, perla battalla, and so many more. plus if you follow the wiseguys big band machine as i do, not from ELA per se but from next door montebello, they have been giving free shows in parks from downey to azusa and all points in between. seeya at the next gig. i'm the guy in a pimped up wheelchair.
